“Conondrum” isn’t one of those words that you hear every day.
It’s thought to be a word that Oxford students made up in the 1600 as a way to mock the overly formal Latin they all had to learn. If that’s true – well done, mates. You created a useful word that is also oddly fun to say.
Why am I talking about this word?
My friends at Walker Information are doing a new series on their CX Leader podcast called “CX Conundrums” and they’ve invited me to be a guest! After almost 20 years they know that thinking through conundrums – intricate, difficult problems or questions with only a theoretical answer – is one of my favorite past times.
The particular conundrum I’ll be exploring with Troy Powell and Pat Gibbons is how to persuade people when strategies that “should” work (e.g., data, stories, emotion) fall flat.
We don’t have an exact date for the release yet, but I’m so excited I had to share the news.
Stay tuned for more details once I have them!
